Woodbridge Jhalil Malik Hardin, 24, was arrested on Oct. 24 following a months-long probe into an alleged incident involving a 26-year-old woman in July.
Police say on Wednesday, July 24, Hardin sexually assaulted his victim, and grabbed her neck while doing so. When the woman attempted to leave, it is alleged that he refused to let her and prevented her from getting out of the residence.
The assault was reported in the 15200 block of Colony Place in Woodbridge.
She was eventually able to leave and contacted the police, leading to the lengthy investigation.
Hardin was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 24 and charged with:
Rape;
- Sodomy;
- Abduction;
- Strangulation.
Bond information was unavailable later on Thursday afternoon and his initial court date was pending.
